key responsibilities:

1. production management:

o plan and schedule metal fabrication activities to meet production goals and

timelines.

o coordinate with production planning to ensure availability of materials and

resources.

o monitor workflow and adjust schedules as needed to optimize production

efficiency.

2. quality assurance:

o ensure that all metalwork meets design specifications, quality standards, and

aesthetic requirements.

o conduct regular inspections and implement quality control measures to

maintain consistent product quality.

o address any issues related to production quality promptly and effectively.

3. team leadership:

o supervise, train, and mentor a team of metalworkers, welders, and fabricators.

o assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure

productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards.

o foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration,

and professional growth.

4. process improvement:

o identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in

metal fabrication.

o implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline

workflows and reduce waste.

o collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve design-related

challenges and improve manufacturability.

5. resource management:

o manage inventory of metal materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock

levels for production needs.

o monitor equipment maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime

and ensure operational readiness.

o optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity while controlling costs.

6. safety and compliance:

o uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulations within the metal shop

environment.

o conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote

a culture of safety awareness.

o ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards applicable

to metalworking operations.
