Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting
System Assessment: Inspect, test, and diagnose technical faults in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or hydraulic systems using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
Root Cause Analysis: Accurately determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions, failures, or performance issues.
Read Schematics: Interpret complex technical manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
2. Repair and Maintenance
Corrective Repair: Perform necessary repairs, adjustments, and replacement of defective parts and components efficiently and accurately.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct routine and scheduled preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) to ensure the longevity, safety, and optimal performance of all equipment.
Installation and Calibration: Install new equipment or systems, perform initial start-up tests, and calibrate settings to meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
3. Customer Interaction and Documentation
Customer Communication: Clearly and professionally communicate with customers regarding the diagnosis, repair plan, cost estimates, and maintenance recommendations.
Technical Support: Provide technical training and guidance to customers and end-users on the proper operation and basic maintenance of the equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed service records, including labor hours, parts used, repair history, and resolution steps in the service management system (CRM or ticketing system).
4. Compliance and Safety
Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company and industry-specific safety protocols, procedures, and quality standards (., OSHA, specific industry regulations).
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and diagnostic equipment, ensuring they are clean, secure, and calibrated.
