Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (10-20 Years)

No. | Email ID: ) is looking for Head of Design Engineering will lead and manage the mechanical Design and development function for power press machines and associated tooling. The role is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective design that meet customer requirements, statutory

regulations, and international standards. This position provides strategic direction, technical authority, and cross-functional leadership to support manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Design & Development: Lead the design and development of new power press machines and associated press tools, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, maintainability and cost effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of all design processes including modifications.

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Approve technical drawings, 3D models (using CAD software like AutoCAD), Bill of Materials(BOMs), and design documentation. Conduct regular design reviews and ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international safety and quality standards (., ISO, ASME).

Collaboration & Project Management: Co-ordinate with cross functional teams including R&D, production, quality control, sales, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly. Manage design budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.

Team Leadership & Management: Plan, assign, supervise, and mentor a team of design engineers and drafters, fostering a culture

of high performance, innovation and collaboration.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and materials in power press and metal

forming technology. Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and automation where applicable to enhance productivity

and quality.
