We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Design & Proposal Engineer - Fire

Alarm Systems to join our growing team supporting Oil & Gas and industrial projects. This is a full-time

remote position open to candidates based in India or the UAE.

About the Role:

The Senior Design & Proposal Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, engineering, estimation,

and techno-commercial proposal preparation of Fire Alarm and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems for Oil & Gas

and industrial projects.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of fire detection systems, international standards, hazardous

area requirements, and the ability to develop technically compliant and commercially competitive

solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal engineering

teams throughout the proposal and project development stages.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Engineering

• Develop detailed designs for fire alarm and detection systems (F&G systems) for oil & gas

facilities.

• Prepare system architecture, loop drawings, Cause & Effect matrices, and I/O lists.

• Perform equipment sizing, selection, and layout based on project specifications.

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NFPA, IEC, UL, FM, and client-specific

standards.

• Interface with other disciplines (Process, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical).

2. Proposal & Estimation

• Review RFQs, ITTs, and technical specifications from clients.

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, including cost estimation, BOQs, and system descriptions.

• Conduct vendor evaluations and obtain quotations from suppliers.

• Optimize designs for cost efficiency while maintaining compliance.

• Participate in bid clarification meetings with clients.

3. Technical Documentation

• Prepare and review:

• Datasheets

• Technical submittals

• Compliance statements

• Method statements

• Develop Cause & Effect charts and logic diagrams for fire alarm systems.

4. Coordination & Client Interaction

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams for technical clarifications.

• Support the project team during the handover from proposal to execution phase.

• Attend meetings, site visits, and technical discussions as required.

5. Standards & Compliance

• Ensure all designs meet Oil & Gas industry requirements, including:

• Hazardous area classifications (ATEX/IECEx)

• SIL considerations, where applicable

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and best practices.
