Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Student Health Care

Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance to students and staff during illness, injury, or emergencies.

Assess health concerns and determine appropriate care or referrals.

Monitor students with chronic health conditions and ensure proper care plans are followed.

Administer prescribed medications as per school policy and parental authorization.

Health Records & Documentation

Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.

Update medical histories, immunization records, and emergency contact information.

Prepare health-related reports as required by school management.

Health & Safety Management

Ensure the school infirmary/medical room is properly equipped and maintained.

Monitor stock of medicines, first aid supplies, and medical equipment.

Coordinate emergency response procedures and medical referrals when necessary.

Health Education & Awareness

Conduct health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, safety, and wellness.

Promote healthy practices among students and staff.

Support school initiatives related to health and well-being.

Parent & Staff Coordination

Communicate with parents regarding student health concerns and medical emergencies.

Coordinate with teachers and school staff regarding students requiring special medical attention.

Liaise with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals when required.
