A textile and garment Sampling Supervisor manages the prototype creation process from design to bulk production. They lead pattern makers and sewing technicians to ensure samples meet customer specifications, hit strict deadlines, and minimize fabric waste.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Coordination: Track and manage various sample types, including proto, fit, size sets, and photo-shoot samples.
Technical Oversight: Provide expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and measurement charts before sample delivery.
Resource Management: Ensure fabrics, trims, and embellishments are sourced and available on time.
Quality Control: Conduct rigorous QC checks on finished samples to align with buyer standards and ensure flawless fit and stitching.
Buyer Approvals: Communicate sample revisions, arrange dispatches, and secure final buyer sign-offs prior to bulk production
Core Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, or Garment Manufacturing.
Experience: 1-5 years in a garment or textile sampling department.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fabric performance, sewing techniques, and pattern making.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting is highly preferred.
Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional coordination, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
