Job Description

strategic planning: develop and execute the companys overall sales strategy to achieve business objectives and increase market share. this includes setting sales targets, defining go-to-market strategies, and identifying new business opportunities.

leadership and management: lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and sales representatives. the sales head is responsible for hiring top talent, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a high-performance culture.

budget and p&l management: own the sales department's budget and p&l (profit & loss) statement. they are accountable for ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to maximize roi and profitability.

performance analysis: monitor and analyze sales metrics and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions. they present these reports to the ceo and other senior executives.

relationship management: manage key client relationships and high-value accounts. the sales head often acts as a key negotiator on major deals and is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction at the highest level.

cross-functional collaboration: work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure that the sales strategy is aligned with the company's overall business goals.
