key responsibilities:
technical & consultation
product expertise: maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of all company products, services, technical specifications, and their applications.
customer needs analysis: consult with prospective customers to thoroughly understand their technical requirements, pain points, and business challenges.
solution design & customization: propose and architect tailored technical solutions that directly address customer needs, sometimes involving product modifications or custom designs.
technical presentations & demonstrations: prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to all levels of a customer's organization, simplifying complex information for non-technical audiences.
sales process & collaboration
sales support: act as the technical point of contact during the sales cycle, collaborating closely with the account executives and the broader sales team to develop winning sales strategies.
proposal & documentation: assist in the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, rfps (request for proposals), and technical documentation.
negotiation: participate in contract negotiations, specifically around technical terms, specifications, and pricing.
sales targets: work with the sales team to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas and targets.
post-sales & internal liaison
technical support: provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and addressing technical inquiries.
project handoff: liaise with the implementation, engineering, and product development teams to ensure seamless deployment and customer satisfaction.
market feedback: gather customer feedback and market intelligence, relaying insights to the product and r&d teams for product improvement and development.
training: train other members of the sales team on the technical features and value proposition of the company's offerings.
