Job Summary:
We are looking for a Site Safety Engineer to join our team and ensure the implementation and monitoring of health and safety standards on construction sites across PAN India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and risk management, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel involved in the project. The role requires someone who can lead safety initiatives, conduct safety audits, and handle emergency situations with a focus on maintaining compliance with national and international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Safety Management:
o Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
o Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions, and provide corrective actions to mitigate risks.
o Ensure that all safety systems, equipment, and protective gear are available and in proper working order.
o Monitor the implementation of safety programs and ensure workers are trained on safety measures.
2. Safety Planning & Coordination:
o Develop and implement site-specific safety plans in alignment with project requirements and safety standards.
o Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure safety plans are effectively communicated and executed.
o Conduct pre-construction safety meetings with teams to discuss potential risks and preventative measures.
3. Training & Awareness:
o Organize regular safety training sessions and workshops for site workers and staff.
o Ensure that workers are properly trained in emergency procedures, use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and safe work practices.
o Promote safety awareness and maintain a safety-first culture on-site.
4. Incident Management & Reporting:
o Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions.
o Maintain records of incidents and provide reports to senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
o Prepare and present periodic safety performance reports and trends.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with all national and local safety regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, NEBOSH standards, and site-specific safety norms.
o Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure that necessary permits and licenses are up to date.
o Ensure that the site meets all environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
6. Emergency Response & Risk Mitigation:
o Develop and implement emergency response plans for various emergency situations (fire, electrical hazards, medical emergencies, etc.).
o Ensure that emergency exits, fire alarms, first-aid kits, and firefighting equipment are readily available and functional.
o Coordinate drills and mock evacuation exercises for emergency preparedness.
7. Continuous Improvement:
o Regularly review safety practices and policies, recommending and implementing improvements.
o Stay updated with the latest safety trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
o Implement corrective measures for any recurring safety issues or non-compliance.
Key Requirements:
€¢ Education:
o B. Tech (Civil) or equivalent.
o ADIS (Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety) or equivalent.
o NEBOSH Certification (National/International) is mandatory.
€¢ Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in construction or related industries.
o Experience in managing safety on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

o Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and practices in the construction industry.
o Proficiency in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with diverse teams.
o Ability to train, motivate, and guide workers on safety practices.
o Strong report writing and documentation skills.
o Ability to use safety management software and tools.
