Job Description

1) customer service: welcoming guests, ensuring timely service, and providing a friendly farewell

reservations: managing reservations and seating plans, and ensuring tables have adequate furniture and

utensils

2) menu knowledge: having a good knowledge of the menu and presentation standards, and being able to

answer questions about the menu

3) communication: communicating with the kitchen about menu questions, wait times, and product

availability

4) team management: handling daily team member relations, and encouraging problem solving by team

members

5) safety and sanitation: maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and ensuring only the highest

quality products are being served

6) inventory: managing inventory and cost control

7) training: training and empowering team members

menu planning: introducing innovative ideas for generating targeted sales
