Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

Position: QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures at the project site.

Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Inspect incoming construction materials and verify compliance with approved specifications.

Conduct regular inspections of civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.

Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IR), checklists, test reports, and quality records.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and site engineers for inspections and approvals.

Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, and other construction activities.

Ensure required material and field tests are conducted and maintain test records.

Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the required timeframe.

Review method statements, material submittals, and inspection procedures.

Maintain project quality documentation and prepare regular QA/QC reports.

Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Engineers to improve overall project quality.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of civil construction quality standards and practices.

Good knowledge of IS codes, testing procedures, and inspection processes.

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Strong coordination and communication skills.

Knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Experience in handling client/consultant inspections is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

A detail-oriented QA/QC professional with strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, documentation, and site quality management, capable of ensuring work meets approved specifications and project requirements.
