for effective planning, execution and monitoring of quality related activities in the group ensuring building of a world class organization

ensuring initiation & promotion of activities and processes leading to decrease in the ppm, decrease in man power & redundancies, increase in productivity & efficiency; and increase in the customer satisfaction & profitability

for effective awareness & promotion of continual improvement activities across the organization

for effective understanding and imbibing of the quality and its significance across the organization

competence level:

diploma mechanical engineer

15-20 yrs work experience in quality assurance department in a process industry

knowledge of quality systems & its procedures (preferably of a manufacturing unit)

knowledge of usage of quality related basic equipment’s and its result interpretation

should have open attitude, adaptability, “can do” approach, “out of the box” attitude should be energetic, systematic, sensible, firm, a listener and calm

should have analytical and problem solving skills

should have leadership qualities along with delegation skills

liaises with departments:

head operations, plant head, customer contact, tool room, design, production, vd / purchase, qms, hr

responsibilities :

Ø conducting all necessary qa processes in the new

development ensuring customer satisfaction and

building organization’s brand image

Ø monitoring and review of inspection standards and

control plans.

Ø planning msa and spc studies. monitoring of actions

taken on each accordingly & its effectiveness.

Ø monitoring & reviewing of operation standards

Ø monitoring & reviewing of preparation of work instructions

for in-house calibration equipments including

gauges, jig / fixtures & instruments. planning

schedule for calibrations of requirements instruments

from outside source.

Ø product & process quality auditing.

Ø monitoring & auditing of inspection activities.

Ø identification of vendor quality systems requirements, its

development and periodic audit.

Ø working out periodic vendor quality performance.

Ø analysis of ncp and customer complaints as a part of

cft.

Ø to verify effectiveness of corrective action.

Ø periodic validation / layout inspection of components.

Ø planning & monitoring pre-dispatch audit (dock audit)

and its effectiveness.

Ø job delegation to qa engineers & inspectors, their

supervision, guidance, mentoring and;

performance audit & appraisals.

Ø initiating continual improvement & small team activities in

qa as well as across the organization to promote

quality awareness, cost effectiveness & upgrade

organization’s competitive edge.

Ø assisting hr in identification of training needs of sub-

ordinates.

Ø informing of the appraisals of qa sub-ordinate staff to the

hr.

Ø member cft.

Ø to monitor the completion of the quality portion of the

erp.

Ø monitoring of the 5s in the qa department as well as in

other departments where all 5 s impact the

quality of he product.

authorities:

Ø to stop production in case of any non-conformance.

Ø to reject material / products supplied by sub-contractor in

case of non-conformance.

Ø to approve inspection report provided by the supplier for

the raw material / bop

Ø approval of inspection reports for release of in-house

tooling after try out has been satisfactory.

Ø authorization for all quality related documents including

ppap inspection reports

Ø approval of inspection standards.

Ø authorized for approval of apqp processes.

Ø authorized to provide deviation or allow to segregate

material under certain given conditions (after

forming ceo) for definite lot
