job description - purchasing engineer
job responsibilities:
• hvac&r products knowledge, sourcing hvac&r products from various suppliers from various countries to meet project specifications.
• oversee vendor sourcing, selection and performance;
• handle material quality issues and delivery issues;
• ensure that purchase quality, quantity, delivery and price is correct;
• responsible for material arrangement to fulfil daily production plan;
• ensure all purchasing records are up to date, generated periodically;
• prepare monthly purchase reports, update approval vendor lists and assist with yearly vendor performance assessments;
• to send weekly forecast and pull plan to supplier in view of the latest customer’s/ production requirement;
• weekly review inventory level versus production schedule planning;
• to issue pr & po according to lead time;
• monitor orders and deliveries;
• assist with supplier audits;
• ensure iso requirements and documentations are properly maintained;
• to monitor supplier on time delivery according to delivery and project plan;
• ensure the candidate is having the hvac products knowledge for mechanical and electrical items.
• company erp processes liaise with purchasing manager, production manager etc.
requirements:
• effective problem-solving abilities;
• able to do material planning;
• ability to control purchase requisition, purchase orders and other relevant documents;
• ability to effectively liaise with external parties;
• excellent negotiation skills;
• at least 4-6 years of experience in purchasing/procurement
• industry type: marine, offshore, oil & gas sector
• bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration;
• specialization: hvac, mechanical
• good communication and negotiation skills;
• strong microsoft excel skills;
• knowledge on erp software’s
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
