Purchase Manager (3-7 Years)

K9HR SOlUTIONS, Nidhi Jethva(HR Manager - Mo. No. | Email ID : ) is looking for detail-oriented and commercially strong Raw Material Sourcing Executive to manage end-to-end sourcing of active ingredients, excipients, flavors, sweeteners, and packaging inputs for our nutrition and nutraceutical product portfolio. The role focuses on vendor development, cost optimization, quality compliance, and supply continuity in alignment with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Sourcing & Vendor Management

Source and develop reliable suppliers for proteins, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, botanicals, functional ingredients, flavors, sweeteners, and excipients

Identify domestic and international suppliers with consistent quality and regulatory compliance

Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, lead time, certifications, and scalability

Maintain an approved vendor list and conduct periodic supplier reviews

Costing & Negotiation

Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and delivery timelines

Track raw material price trends and suggest cost-optimization strategies

Support product costing and margin planning

Quality & Compliance Coordination

Ensure all raw materials meet FSSAI, AYUSH (if applicable), ISO, HACCP, and clean-label requirements

Coordinate with QA/QC for COA, MSDS, stability data, and sample approvals

Ensure traceability and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections

Inventory & Supply Planning

Coordinate with production and contract manufacturers to ensure timely availability of materials

Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or excess holding

Assist in demand forecasting and procurement planning

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with R&D, QA, production, finance, and contract manufacturers

Support new product development by sourcing innovative and functional ingredients

Assist in alternate sourcing during supply disruptions

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Nutrition, Biotechnology, or related field

2-5 years of experience in raw material sourcing for nutraceuticals, sports nutrition, or food supplements

Strong knowledge of nutrition ingredients and their quality parameters

Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and nutraceutical raw material documentation

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience working with contract manufacturers (third-party manufacturing)

Exposure to import sourcing and international suppliers

Understanding of clean-label and sports nutrition formulations

Strong negotiation, vendor communication, and analytical skills

Proficiency in Excel and basic ERP systems
