Role Purpose
The Engineer will be responsible for electrical system design, equipment selection, technical proposal preparation, and coordination with vendors and clients for projects in process industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Design, selection, and engineering of electrical systems and equipment, including:
Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear
Low Voltage (LV) switchgear and panels
Power and distribution transformers
E-House / Substations
Power and control cables
Batteries and battery chargers
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
Selection and specification of switchgear components, such as:
VCB, ACB, MCCB, MCB, MPCB
Protection and control relays (REX relays preferred)
Preparation and review of Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for both MV and LV systems
Preparation of technical offers, including:
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Technical data sheets
Deviation and compliance statements
Review and evaluation of vendor offer for technical compliance with project specifications
Development and understanding of electrical layout drawings, such as:
Equipment layout
Earthing and grounding layout
Lighting layout
Cable sizing and routing layouts
Coordination and effective communication with:
Vendors and suppliers
Clients and consultants
Internal cross-functional teams
Industry Experience
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Energy Industry, specifically:
Oil & Gas
Chemical plants
Pharmaceutical facilities
(Experience in these industries is preferred)
Software Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD for drawings and layouts
