the registered nurse (rn) provides high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards, protocols, and hospital policies. the rn collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the well-being and safety of all patients.

key responsibilities:

patient assessment: conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical, emotional, and social needs.

care planning: develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

administer medications: safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for side effects and effectiveness.

patient education: educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

documentation: maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records.

collaboration: work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

infection control: adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures to minimize risks.

emergency response: respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing necessary interventions and support.

supervision: mentor and guide nursing students and junior staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.

qualifications:

education: bachelors degree in nursing (bsn) preferred; associates degree in nursing (adn) considered.

licensure: current state nursing license (rn) in good standing.

experience: previous nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

skills:

strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

proficient in electronic health records and medical software.

certifications: basic life support (bls) certification required; advanced cardiac life support (acls) certification preferre
