Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Network Monitoring:

Monitor network performance and health using network monitoring tools.

Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Incident Management:

Identify and diagnose network issues, and coordinate with other IT teams to resolve incidents.

Escalate issues to appropriate teams or vendors if necessary.

Troubleshooting:

Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of network-related problems.

Analyze logs and network traffic to identify and resolve issues.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

Implement routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.

Plan and execute network infrastructure upgrades as needed.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

Update knowledge base articles to assist with incident resolution.

Security Monitoring:

Monitor network security alerts and respond to security incidents.

Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce security policies.

Performance Optimization:

Analyze network performance data and implement measures to optimize performance.

Collaborate with other teams to improve the overall efficiency of the network.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and security professionals.

Participate in cross-functional teams to address complex issues.

Reporting:

Generate and distribute reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions.

Provide insights and recommendations for improving network reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a NOC Engineer or in a similar network monitoring role.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant certifications are often preferred.

Proficiency in network monitoring tools and incident management systems.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies
