Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water samples, and environmental monitoring samples.
Conduct microbial limit tests, pathogen testing, sterility testing, and other routine microbiological analyses.
Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory solutions as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and calibration records.
Record, analyze, and report microbiological test results accurately and in a timely manner.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results and assist with root cause analysis.
Support environmental monitoring programs for production and laboratory areas.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain laboratory documentation, test records, and audit-ready compliance.
Participate in internal audits, validation activities, and quality improvement projects.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Production, and R&D teams regarding microbiological requirements.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and ensure proper disposal of biological waste.
