key responsibilities:

preventative maintenance:

conducting regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.

troubleshooting and repair:

diagnosing mechanical issues, identifying the root cause, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.

installation and upgrades:

assisting with the installation of new equipment, as well as upgrading existing systems to improve efficiency and performance.

record keeping:

maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and equipment performance.

safety compliance:

ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.

collaboration:

working with other departments, such as operations and production, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.

supervision and training:

may be involved in supervising and training junior maintenance staff.

cost management:

contributing to the maintenance budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

continuous improvement:

evaluating new technologies and suggesting improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
