the interior designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing interior spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client requirements and project budgets. the role involves collaboration with architects, project managers, and vendors to deliver design solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, or retail projects.
key responsibilities:
meet with clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, and budget.
develop design concepts, layouts, and mood boards.
create detailed drawings, 3d visualizations, and material boards using design software (autocad, sketchup, revit, photoshop, etc.).
select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and décor elements.
prepare boqs (bill of quantities) and assist in project cost estimation.
coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
stay updated on design trends, sustainability practices, and industry standards.
ensure timely completion of design deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
skills & qualifications:
bachelors degree or diploma in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
proven experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality interiors.
proficiency in autocad, sketchup, 3ds max, revit, or similar software.
strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture specifications.
excellent visualization, presentation, and communication skills.
