3. Allots hostel rooms for students and supervise them.
4. Take attendance of students residing in hostel at stipulated time and supervises during study time.
5. Takes responsibility for the overall security of the hostel and will coordinate her responsibility with the Security/lady guard of the hostel
6. Verify periodically the furniture and fittings of the hostel with the assistance of the student representative, and take action for their repairs/replacement or for obtaining additional furniture.
7. Ensure that students abide by the norms of the hostel. She will report to the Principal all relevant cases of indiscipline and violation of rules and implement the suggestions/action taken.
8. Counselling and Support: The warden often serves as a mentor and counsellor for the residents. She provides guidance and support to students facing personal, academic, or emotional challenges. This may involve offering advice, lending a listening ear, or referring students to appropriate support services.
9. Organizes and coordinates common, sports and cultural programmes of the hostel
10. Ensure the maintenance of discipline and decorum in the hostel.
11. Supervises the functioning of the mess and the working of the mess managers, cooks, helpers and cleaners under her charge. Will keep a watch over the cleanliness of the dining hall and the kitchen and of the food prepared.
12. Conduct regular inspection of the kitchen room and the dining hall, especially when student take their meals. Will enforce cleanliness, discipline and decorum in the dining hall.
13. Supervise the system of purchase of provisions and quality of provisions.
14. Ensure correctness of receipts and issues of mess stores, crockery etc. and of the stock balance and will attest all entries in the relevant stock register. Will check the valuation of the closing stock.
