Job Description

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery used in construction and other industries. Your work will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Inspection and Diagnostics:** Regularly examine heavy equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring that all machinery operates safely and efficiently.

- **Repairs and Maintenance:** Perform repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, and other critical components. This includes changing oil, replacing filters, and fixing or replacing faulty parts.

- **Preventive Maintenance:** Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent equipment failure and extend the lifespan of machinery. This includes lubricating parts, tightening bolts, and cleaning equipment.

- **Documentation:** Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work done on equipment. This documentation helps in tracking the performance and history of the machinery.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with other mechanics and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and equipment is fully operational.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. A completed 10th grade education is necessary. You should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members. A valid driver’s license is preferred, as some travel to job sites may be required. You should be physically fit, as the job involves lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
