Factory Supervisor (5-6 Years)

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Factory Supervisor to oversee day-today production activities and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient factory operations. The candidate will be responsible for supervising production manpower, monitoring production schedules, ensuring product quality, coordinating material availability, maintaining workplace discipline, and achieving daily production targets. Candidates with experience in sheet-metal fabrication, modular panels, cleanroom panels, doors, or allied engineering products will be preferred. Key Responsibilities Production Supervision • Supervise daily production activities and ensure achievement of planned production targets. • Allocate manpower and work responsibilities based on production requirements. • Monitor production processes and ensure smooth workflow across the factory. • Ensure production is carried out as per drawings, work instructions, and specifications. • Monitor productivity, output, downtime, and material utilization. • Coordinate with Production Manager and other departments to resolve operational issues. Sheet Metal & Fabrication • Supervise processes such as: o Sheet cutting / shearing o Laser cutting / CNC cutting o Punching o Press brake bending o Welding and fabrication o Grinding and deburring o Assembly o Modular panel and door manufacturing • Ensure proper handling of sheet metal, panels, doors, hardware, and finished products. • Identify production problems and coordinate corrective actions. Quality Control • Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings and specifications. • Conduct basic in-process checks and coordinate with the Quality team for inspection. • Minimize rejection, rework, material wastage, and production defects. • Ensure proper segregation and control of rejected/non-conforming materials. • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production issues. Manpower Management • Supervise and guide operators, helpers, fabricators, welders, and other production workers. • Allocate jobs and monitor individual/team performance. • Train workers on production methods, safety, quality, and proper machine operation. • Maintain discipline, attendance, and workplace productivity. Material & Production Coordination • Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, hardware, and tools. • Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage. • Inform management about material shortages and production requirements. • Coordinate with Maintenance regarding machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance requirements. Safety & Housekeeping • Ensure compliance with factory safety rules and procedures. • Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices. • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards on the shop floor. • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and equipment issues immediately. • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment. Production Reporting • Maintain daily production records and shift reports. • Report production output, rejection, rework, downtime, and material issues. • Monitor production against planned schedules and highlight deviations. • Provide regular updates to the Production Manager / Factory Manager. Required Qualification • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, Production, or a related technical trade. • Equivalent practical factory/manufacturing experience may also be considered. • 3-8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • Practical knowledge of factory production processes and shop-floor supervision. The candidate should be comfortable working directly with operators and technicians, solving day-to-day production problems, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality requirements. Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, modular panels, cleanroom panels, or doors will be preferred.
