preparing accurate and cost-effective project estimates, analyzing project requirements, and potentially leading a team of estimators

project estimation:preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labor, and other resources.

bill of quantities (boq):preparing boqs, which are detailed lists of materials and quantities required for a project.

cost analysis:analyzing project requirements, identifying potential risks, and developing cost-effective solutions.

vendor negotiation:negotiating with contractors and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms.

team leadership:potentially leading and mentoring a team of junior estimators.

collaboration:coordinating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

data collection and analysis:collecting and analyzing data to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product or project.

proposal preparation:evaluating tenders and preparing proposals (domestic, government, international, etc.).

cost target objectives:working proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others.

financial accountability:may hold a larger remit in terms of financial accountability than a cost estimating engineer.
