core responsibilities
1. design and development
circuit design: design, simulate, and develop electronic circuits, including analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal systems, based on project specifications.
component selection: select appropriate electronic components (microcontrollers, sensors, ics, etc.) based on performance, cost, and availability.
prototyping: build, test, and refine prototypes of electronic hardware and devices.
pcb layout: collaborate with pcb designers on board layouts, ensuring manufacturability and signal integrity.
2. testing and quality assurance
testing and validation: develop and execute detailed test plans to rigorously validate designs, ensuring components and systems meet functional and performance requirements.
troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve complex hardware and firmware issues at the component and system level.
compliance: ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations (., ce, fcc), and environmental requirements.
3. documentation and support
technical documentation: create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, test reports, and bills of materials (boms).
cross-functional collaboration: work closely with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless product integration.
manufacturing support: provide technical support to the manufacturing team during product assembly and production rollout.
