Job Description

core responsibilities

1. installation and wiring

wiring and systems: install, maintain, and modify electrical power systems, wiring, lighting, and control systems.

component setup: connect electrical components and equipment, including circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and various fixtures, ensuring they are correctly installed and functional.

blueprint interpretation: read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.

2. maintenance and repair

troubleshooting: diagnose and fix electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

repair and replacement: repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, wiring, or components, including ballasts, transformers, and electrical motors.

preventive maintenance: perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems to prevent potential failures and ensure longevity.

3. safety and compliance

code adherence: ensure all installations and repairs meet local, state, and national electrical codes (nec) and safety standards.

safety protocols: follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (loto) protocols, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe).

inspection: conduct inspections of electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
