summary :

the design engineer shall provide technical support to head operations to develop a design department, localise international designs and start engineering activities & processes and resolve technical issues in india.

overall purpose of the role :

responsibility for design & development of company products and for development of customized tailor-made indian solutions.

key responsibilities :

- making 3 d models, ga drawings, assembly & sub-assembly drawings, bom preparation

- making 2d part drawings for fabrication as per company standard within given timeframe

- performing engineering design calculations, analysis of design

- continuous improvement on the design drawings

- visit to supplier place for discussion & monitoring of the project as and when required

- supporting to production for making the right product as per approved design

- design new systems and processes, new process or for the improvement of existing ones

- ensure all product and system requirements are considered from the initial product conception to the finished result

- assist with shop floor layout, design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks

- generating documentation such as assembly instructions, catalogue, manuals

- gd&t knowledge, new product development, prototype

- project closure and making as built drawings
