We are currently seeking a talented Costing Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in our tender processes. As a Costing Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Utilize your technical expertise to accurately estimate the costs involved in electrical projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.

Tender Preparation: Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to prepare comprehensive tender documents, ensuring all cost estimates are thoroughly detailed and transparent.

Bid Analysis: Analyze tender documents and specifications to understand project requirements thoroughly, enabling you to develop precise cost estimates that align with client expectations.

Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance, providing innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness.

Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost implications and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively, ensuring accurate budget projections.

Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations for materials and services, negotiating favorable terms to enhance project profitability.

Cost Control: Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, tracking expenses against budgets and identifying variances to implement corrective measures promptly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering ( preferred).

Proven experience in cost estimation, preferably within the electrical engineering or construction industry.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in cost estimation software.
