Commissioning Engineers

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Site Testing & Commissioning:

Perform cold and hot commissioning activities, loop checking, signal testing, and equipment interlock verifications for thermal power plant subsystems.

Execute performance guarantee (PG) tests, trial runs, and functional verification of auxiliary machinery, pumps, control valves, and electrical systems.

Prepare and maintain commissioning checklists, test reports, snag lists, and site handover documentation in coordination with project managers and client engineers.

Plant Operations & Routine Maintenance:

Monitor daily operational parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate, vibration, and heat heat rates) of thermal power units to ensure optimal plant efficiency.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, or C&I (Control & Instrumentation) faults to minimize plant downtime.

Carry out preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance programs according to equipment manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Safety Compliance & Site Coordination:

Strictly enforce Plant Safety Rules, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, Isolation/Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines during all site operations.

Coordinate daily site schedules with main contractors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), site supervisors, and client representatives.
