CNC VMC Setter - Job Description

## Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently setting up CNC turning machines, selecting and setting tools, proving out programs, and ensuring production meets quality and productivity standards.

## Key Responsibilities

* Set up CNC turning machines for production.

* Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

* Perform tool offset and wear offset corrections.

* Conduct first-piece inspection and obtain quality approval.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and process requirements.

* Monitor production and troubleshoot machining issues.

* Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.

* Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.

* Support operators during production and minimize machine downtime.

* Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality.

## Required Skills

* Experience in CNC Turning machine setup.

* Knowledge of Fanuc CNC controls.

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Proficiency in using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Dial Gauges, and Height Gauges.

* Good understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

## Qualifications

* ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

* Minimum 3-5 years of CNC Turning setup experience.
