Assistant Doctor:

Roles & responsibilities:

1. Undertaking patient consultations and physical examinations

2. Re-checking a patient's records and medical chart to be sure all necessary precautions are made.

3. Organising workloads

4. Performing surgical procedures

5. Providing genera pre and post-operative care

6. Monitoring and administering medication

7. Assessing and panning treatment requirements.

8. Liaising daily with staff including other doctors, non- medical management staff and healthcare professionals

9. Writing reports and maintaining records

10. Promoting health education

11. Managing a department

12. leading a medical team

13. Keeping GPs informed about the care of their patients

14. Teaching and supervising nursing staff
