JOB TITLE : Cath Lab Technician

Responsibilities:

Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, angioplasty, and stent deployment.

Prepare patients for Cath Lab procedures, ensuring consent, sterile preparation, and monitoring throughout.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain Cath Lab equipment including fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and contrast injectors.

Monitor ECG, blood pressure, and hemodynamic parameters during procedures.

Manage administration of contrast media, catheters, guide wires, and assist in device deployment.

Provide technical support during pacemaker implantation, IABP insertion, and electrophysiology procedures.

Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, infection control, and radiation safety protocols.

Respond promptly to intra-procedural emergencies including cardiac arrest or arrhythmias.

Document procedure details, maintain patient records, and prepare reports for consultants.

Coordinate with cardiologists, anesthetists, nursing, and ICU teams for seamless patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Perform routine checks, calibration, and troubleshooting of Cath Lab machines to maintain operational readiness.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Cath Lab Technology, Paramedical Sciences, or allied field.

Certified training in Cath Lab or Cardiac Technology preferred.

Experience in hospital Cath Lab setup desirable.

Strong technical knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures and equipment handling.
