Coordinate the berthing and departure of ships, including liaison with port authorities and service providers.
Handle all necessary documentation for cargo, crew, and ship entries and clearances.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international maritime regulations.
Communicate effectively with captains, crew members, and port officials to facilitate smooth port operations.
Maintain timely and accurate reporting of ship activities and operational expenses.
Provide assistance and support to the crew, addressing any issues that may arise during the port stay.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of port services, tariffs, and restrictions.
Manage and oversee the provision of onboard supplies and services including fuel, water, and provisions.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Ship Agent or similar role in the maritime industry.
Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and port operations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Computer literacy with proficiency in maritime software and MS Office.
A degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or similar field.
