The Business Development Executive/Manager will spearhead SKV’s client acquisition efforts for institutional projects—focusing on hospitality (hotels/resorts), education (schools/colleges), and institutional (government/NGO) segments. This role demands strong industry relationships, strategic networking, and an ability to translate market intelligence into actionable leads.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in the hospitality, education, and institutional sectors by leveraging existing industry contacts and developing new relationships with key decision-makers (., hotel owners, school trustees, institutional procurement heads).
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, preparing periodic sales forecasts and updating the CRM with progress notes, client feedback, and next steps.
Conduct market mapping exercises to understand sector-specific procurement cycles—., academic calendar-driven fit-outs for schools or off-season renovations for hotels—and align SKV’s outreach strategy accordingly.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals that highlight SKV’s expertise in interior fit-outs for each target segment; customize value propositions (., durability of finishes in high-traffic educational spaces, luxury-oriented material selection for boutique hotels, compliance-driven solutions for institutional projects).
Collaborate with the Design and Estimation teams to develop concept-driven pitch decks, BOQ outlines, and preliminary budget estimates to support client discussions.
Represent SKV at industry events, conferences, and trade shows (., hospitality expos, educational infrastructure seminars, government tenders), showcasing case studies and building brand awareness.
Negotiate terms and commercial structures (rates, payment schedules, milestone definitions) in alignment with SKV’s financial objectives, ensuring profitable and sustainable project wins.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and policy updates in each sector to identify emerging opportunities or potential threats.
Maintain post-sales relationships to secure repeat business and identify cross-selling opportunities (., furniture supply, post-handover maintenance).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of business development experience, with a proven track record of winning interior fit-out contracts in at least two of the following sectors: hospitality, education, or institutional/government.
Established network of contacts in hotel chains, educational institutions, or government procurement departments.
