role summary
business development manager will be responsible for generating new non-life insurance business from prospective sme and corporate customers in tamil nadu and karnataka.
duties & responsibilities
• identify new corporate customers and focus on them to position tt insurance as a knowledge-based insurance intermediary.
• responsible for significant growth in the overall business volumes of tti by acquiring new customers
• be aware of the constant changes in the insurance environment and new products being introduced by insurance companies
• have a keen eye on high quality service and be responsive to the customers’ requirements.
• generate a constant pipeline of accounts and ensure the funnel is always full
• identify the insurance requirements of the sme and major corporates and be in a position to establish contact with the decision makers and connect them with the underwriting team for evaluating the risk and arriving at possible insurance solutions without compromising on quality.
• responsible for pre-sales, post sales service with the external and internal stake holders.
• communicate business issues / customer feedback to the management.
• submit and maintain all periodic sales reports with the tat’s
educational qualification & communication skills
• any bachelor’s degree from an ugc approved university/ broking qualification will be an added advantage.
• fluent in written & spoken english.
• should have good verbal communication skills in regional languages viz., tamil
work experience
• minimum 10 years of hard-core sales in non-life insurance specially liability/marine/property/fire insurance
• proven record of driving and achieving sales growth year on year.
• good connection with corporate clients/ government companies
