Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Assess customer needs, understand their process and refer to their specifications

Maintain highest level of customer satisfaction through respectful and cordial communication with the client, his representatives, and all members of the Qualtech team

Participate in automation design estimates and quotes

Respect Qualtech project management guidelines and protocols

Proactively look for and recommend improvements in processes and procedures

Coordinate automation activities with the project manager

Map the electrical requirements for the Electrical engineering team

Develop a detailed project plans with the PMs to track project progress (cost, schedule)

Support the design, engineering, and commissioning of new control systems

Ladder PLC programming, mainly with Rockwell Software. Studio5000, CCW, RSLogix 5000 and 500.

HMI programming Rockwell Software FactoryTalkView ME and SE.

Diagnose the causes of failures, decide on corrective actions to be taken and ensure the repair of defective equipment

I/O verifications

Emergency service call support

Requirements:

6+ years experience in process control automation design, PLC programming, field installation, performance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and operation – preferably in the Food and Beverage or Liquid Processing industries

Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience with control loops and PID programming

Ability to adapt to the Qualtech programming standards for specific systems. Offer recommendations for optimization and improvements where identified.

Experience with Wonderware HMI/SCADA/IIM suite of products is an asset

Knowledge of and experience reading, analyzing P&IDs and electrical drawings
