job summary:
the route leader – operations is responsible for managing and executing field-level cash operations, including route planning for cash vans and atm cash replenishment services. this role ensures the secure, efficient, and timely delivery of cash and valuable assets to banks, atms, and retail clients while maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance protocols. the route leader also oversees ground staff and coordinates with internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
key responsibilities:
operations & route management:
plan and manage daily cash van routes for pickups and deliveries to clients and atms.
supervise field crew (drivers, custodians, and loaders) during route execution.
ensure all vehicle checks, crew deployment, and cash box verifications are completed prior to dispatch.
monitor real-time route progress and resolve on-ground issues in coordination with the control room.
ensure adherence to time schedules and slas defined for client visits.
maintain accurate documentation related to cash movement, client acknowledgments, and handovers.
atm operations:
manage end-to-end atm cash replenishment processes including:
cash loading and balancing.
cassette swapping and envelope retrieval.
first-line maintenance (flm) coordination and downtime reporting.
coordinate with bank officials, technical teams, and custodians for timely execution.
ensure atm downtime is minimized and escalation protocols are followed.
monitor daily atm operations, update atm status, and report any technical or operational issues.
compliance & security:
ensure strict compliance with company sops, rbi guidelines, and industry safety standards.
conduct routine audits of route documentation, cash van operations, and atm servicing.
report incidents, shortages, or security breaches immediately to higher authorities.
ensure all crew members are wearing proper uniforms and id cards during duty.
customer coordination:
act as the first point of contact for clients during route execution.
resolve client queries or escalations related to delays, discrepancies, or service issues.
build and maintain positive relationships with client representatives at delivery points.
requirements:
education: graduation is must
experience: 2–5 years in logistics, cash operations, or atm management (preferably in cash handling companies or banks).
skills:
strong team leadership and operational planning skills.
working knowledge of atm functioning and replenishment processes.
excellent route planning and gps-based tracking familiarity.
attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability.
good communication and coordination skills.
