Airport Logistics Coordinator - Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Airport Logistics Coordinator to support the smooth movement, coordination, and tracking of airport-related materials, baggage, cargo, equipment, and operational resources. The candidate will work closely with airline staff, ground-handling teams, cargo departments, warehouse personnel, transport teams, and airport operations to ensure timely and efficient logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of baggage, cargo, supplies, equipment, and other operational materials within designated airport areas.
- Monitor the timely movement of logistics items between terminals, warehouses, aircraft, and other operational locations.
- Coordinate with ground-handling teams to ensure smooth loading, unloading, transfer, and delivery activities.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, baggage, cargo movements, equipment, and related documentation.
- Track logistics activities and promptly report delays, missing items, damages, or operational issues to the concerned supervisor.
- Coordinate with airline, cargo, security, warehouse, transport, and airport operations teams.
- Ensure all logistics activities are performed according to established airport safety and security procedures.
- Assist in planning daily logistics requirements based on flight schedules and operational needs.
- Monitor inventory and ensure essential supplies and equipment are available when required.
- Prepare and maintain reports, checklists, delivery records, and other operational documents.
- Support efficient vehicle and equipment coordination for airport logistics activities.
- Communicate operational updates clearly to relevant departments and management.
- Help resolve routine logistics-related issues and escalate complex matters when necessary.
- Maintain a professional and organized working environment.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the logistics supervisor or airport management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates should have strong communication, coordination, organizational, and time-management skills. Basic computer knowledge, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are important. Previous experience in logistics, aviation, warehouse operations, transportation, or customer service can be an advantage.
The candidate should be willing to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays and should follow all applicable airport safety, security, and operational guidelines.
