As an Airport Cargo Loader, your main job will be to manage cargo in a busy airport environment. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that cargo is loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading Cargo: You will be responsible for moving baggage and freight onto and off of aircraft. This includes safely securing items to prevent damage during transport.
- Ensuring Safety Standards: It is important to follow safety procedures while lifting heavy items or operating equipment. You must ensure your work area is safe for both yourself and your colleagues.
- Inspecting Cargo: You will check cargo for any damage or irregularities before it is loaded. Reporting any issues will help maintain a high standard of service.
- Using Equipment: You will operate various type of machinery, such as forklifts and trolleys. Proper training will be provided, and safety protocols must be followed at all times.
- Working in a Team: Collaboration with other cargo loaders and airport staff is essential. Good communication will help ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Required Skills and Expectations:
- A minimum of a 10th pass education is necessary.
- You should be physically fit, as the job involves lifting heavy items and being active throughout your shift.
