about the role

we are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy accountant to manage daily financial operations, compliance, and stock accounting for our jewellery store. the ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

key responsibilities

maintain accurate books of accounts in tally erp or similar software

handle gst, tds, and income tax compliance including return filing

perform bank reconciliation and daily cash flow management

manage jewellery inventory accounting, costing, and bis hallmark records

prepare bills, vouchers, and mis reports in excel

coordinate with sales team, cashier, management, vendors, and auditors

ensure accurate weight, purity, and rate calculations for stock and sales

assist in audit preparation and maintain proper documentation

uphold confidentiality and compliance with store policies

required skills & qualifications

proficiency in tally erp or similar accounting software

knowledge of taxation laws (gst, tds, income tax)

strong accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

good communication and coordination abilities

ability to manage workload during festive and seasonal peaks

preferred: jewellery industry experience, pos integration knowledge, basic foreign currency handling
