This role demands extensive site-based field execution across multiple locations in India, covering substations, switchyards, power plants, and industrial electrical installations.The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end protection scheme validation, relay configuration, field troubleshooting, commissioning activities, and final handover to clients.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protection relays.Configuration, testing, and logic modification of:Schneider Easergy P3Micom (P643)Siemens Siprotec 5 / 7SD82 seriesLine & transformer:Differential protectionREF protectionStability checksIn-zone & out-zone verificationProgrammable logic testing & modifications on protection relays.ATS logic, momentary parallel logic checking, troubleshooting & correction.Upstream & downstream interlock and interconnection verification.CT, PT, VC, VCB, ACB witness testing and analysis of abnormal readings.VCB breaker mechanism troubleshooting and plug-pin replacement.LTMR Tesys-T relay configuration, logic modification, and commissioning.Motor auto-reacceleration scheme implementation and validation.Switchgear installation verification and corrective recommendations.Site acceptance testing (SAT), pre-commissioning, commissioning & handover.Coordination with site engineers, OEMs, EPC contractors & utility clients.Required Skills & ExpertiseStrong knowledge of protection & control schemes.Expertise in:Transformer protectionLine protectionBusbar protectionSwitchyard protectionIn-depth experience with Schneider, Siemens & Micom relays.Excellent field troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.Ability to independently execute complete commissioning projects.
