Job SummaryThe Machine Shop Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operations of the CNC machine shop, including CNC Turning Centers, VMC (Vertical Machining Centers), and HMC (Horizontal Machining Centers). The role ensures production targets, quality standards, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.Key Responsibilities1 Production Planning & ControlPlan daily/weekly/monthly production schedules.Ensure on-time delivery as per customer requirements.Optimize machine utilization (CNC, VMC, HMC).Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores.2 CNC / VMC / HMC Operations ManagementSupervise machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and boring.Approve machining processes and cycle time improvements.Ensure correct tooling selection, fixture setup, and program validation.Monitor tool life management and cutting parameters.Support new product development and trial runs.3 Quality ControlEnsure adherence to drawing specifications and tolerances.Implement in-process inspection standards.Work with QA team for root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.Maintain rejection and rework within acceptable limits.4 Manpower ManagementLead and supervise CNC operators, setters, programmers, and supervisors.Allocate manpower effectively across shifts.Conduct skill training and performance evaluation.Maintain discipline and safety culture.5 Maintenance & Machine HealthCoordinate preventive maintenance schedules.Reduce breakdown time and improve MTBF.Ensure proper lubrication and machine care practices.6 Cost & Productivity ImprovementReduce cycle time and setup time (SMED).Implement Lean Manufacturing / 5S practices.Monitor consumables, tooling costs, and scrap reduction.Drive continuous improvement initiatives.7 Safety & ComplianceEnsure safe machine operations.Enforce PPE usage.Maintain compliance with ISO / IATF (if automotive industry).

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to operate and maintain CNC machines for precision manufacturing.
