Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled API Engineer (Lead II Software Engineering) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs. This role requires expertise in Java, AWS Cloud, and API management tools with strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience in cloud-native environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop & maintain robust RESTful APIs with focus on scalability and performance.Implement secure authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).Manage API lifecycle including versioning, throttling, and rate limiting.Collaborate with frontend & backend teams for seamless integration.Monitor API performance, security, and availability.Document APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI.Drive API standards & best practices across the team.Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.Required Skills & Experience6+ years of hands-on API development experience.Strong expertise in Java, RESTful API design, HTTP, JSON/XML.Mandatory: AWS Cloud, Terraform, Apigee / AWS API Gateway.Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.Solid knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).Practical knowledge of caching, monitoring, logging & error handling.Preferred / Nice-to-HaveJava-based API development experience.Familiarity with Kong or other API management platforms.Work Mode & Sourcing GuidelinesHybrid 3 days onsite in PuneCandidates across India (or returning Indians willing to relocate to Pune) welcome.Notice period: Immediate to 30 days (AugSep joiners only).Compensation Salary: INR 3,200,000 3,500,000 per yearHow to Apply Send your CV to: tahir.hussainn@protonmail.com Subject Line: Applied Position Lead II Software Engineering (API Engineer)
