An Air Cargo Executive is responsible for handling the shipment of goods via air transport. The role includes managing cargo bookings, documentation, coordination with airlines and clients, and ensuring safe, timely delivery of cargo in compliance with aviation regulations. Key Responsibilities:Handle cargo bookings and reservations for domestic and international shipmentsPrepare and verify Air Way Bills (AWB) and other shipping documentsCoordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling agentsEnsure proper cargo labeling, packaging, and handling proceduresTrack and monitor shipment status and update customers regularlyManage import/export documentation and customs clearance processesEnsure compliance with aviation safety and security regulationsHandle special cargo such as dangerous goods, perishable items, or live animalsMaintain accurate records of cargo movement and transactionsResolve customer queries, delays, or shipment issues Documentation & Compliance:Knowledge of:Air Way Bill (AWB)Invoice & Packing ListBill of Entry / Shipping BillCustoms regulationsEnsure compliance with:IATA (International Air Transport Association) guidelinesAirport and airline policiesSafety and security standards Required Skills:Strong communication and coordination skillsBasic knowledge of cargo/logistics operationsAttention to detail and documentation accuracyProblem-solving and time management skillsComputer proficiency (MS Office, cargo management systems)Ability to work in shifts and under pressure Qualifications:Minimum: 12th Pass or GraduatePreferred: Diploma / Degree in Aviation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management Experience:Fresher or 1-3 years experience in cargo, logistics, or aviation preferred Salary Range (India):Fresher: 20,000 - 25,000/monthExperienced: 25,000 - 45,000/month (depends on company & airport)
