The ideal candidate will have a background in fitting and turning and will be keen to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Machine Operation:** Operate lathes and other equipment to shape and cut metallic parts as per specifications, ensuring precision and quality in each task.- **Installation and Maintenance:** Assemble and install parts into machinery, ensuring they function properly; troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to minimize downtime.- **Blueprint Interpretation:** Read and understand technical drawings and blueprints, enabling accurate fabrication and assembly of components.- **Testing and Quality Assurance:** Conduct tests on completed parts and assemblies to ensure they meet required standards; make adjustments as necessary to improve performance.- **Safety Compliance:** Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others on the shop floor.**Required Skills and Expectations:**- Candidates should have an I.T.I. certification in Fitting Turner or a related field, showcasing hands-on technical training.- A solid understanding of mechanical concepts and basic engineering principles is essential.- Ability to use various hand tools and power tools with precision and care.- Candidates should be detail-oriented, capable of performing tasks accurately while adhering to timelines.- A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure collaborative success in projects.
