ROLE OVERVIEWThe Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep, preventive maintenance, and breakdown resolution of all mechanical equipment across the CCL manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical grounding and a proactive maintenance mindset.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEquipment Maintenance- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on hydraulic presses, rollers, conveyors, and press plates- Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime- Maintain and overhaul roller assemblies, bearings, chains, drives, and structural components- Monitor press plate flatness and surface condition; coordinate re-grinding or replacement as requiredMaintenance Systems- Develop and maintain a Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule and ensure 100% compliance- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, spare parts inventory, and equipment history cards- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and life cycleCoordination- Work closely with production supervisors for planned maintenance windows and shutdown coordination- Liaise with external vendors and OEMs for equipment servicing, AMCs, and spare parts- Coordinate with instrumentation and electrical teams for integrated fault resolutionCANDIDATE PROFILEExperience- 3-8 years in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment- Experience in CCL, PCB, laminates, rubber, or heavy engineering preferred- Hands-on experience with rollers, conveyors, presses, and hydraulic systemsTechnical Skills- Proficiency with hydraulic systems: pumps, cylinders, valves, seals- Knowledge of conveyor systems: belts, chains, gearboxes, tensioning systems- Familiarity with press plate handling and precision mechanical alignments- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDsEducation- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical EngineeringREPORTING & LOCATIONReports To Plant Head / Maintenance ManagerLocation Plant Site, India
