Job SummaryThe Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The role supports children and adults, focusing on improving communication abilities, cognitive-linguistic skills, and safe swallowing. The therapist works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based therapy.Key Responsibilities1. Assessment & DiagnosisConduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing assessments.Review medical, developmental, and educational history.Prepare diagnostic reports and therapy recommendations.2. Therapy Planning & InterventionDevelop individualized therapy plans (IEP/IRP) for children and adults.Provide therapy for articulation disorders, language delays, ASD communication issues, stuttering, voice disorders, aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia.Use AAC devices, communication boards, and evidence-based methods.3. Documentation & Progress MonitoringMaintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and follow-up recommendations.Update treatment plans based on progress and re-evaluations.4. Family & Caregiver TrainingEducate parents/caregivers on home-based practice.Conduct counselling sessions for communication strategies.5. Team CoordinationWork closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, special educators, doctors, and social workers.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, school IEP reviews, and community camps.Qualifications & RequirementsBASLP or MASLP degree (RCI registered preferred).Experience in clinical, school, or rehabilitation settings.Strong communication, empathy, patience, and documentation skills.Freshers with strong skills may also be considered.
