Guards must control access to the aircraft, baggage and pickup areas, and other restricted access points including traffic control towers, operations, and the airfield itself. Duties also include verifying and scanning vehicles every vehicle that enters the airfield and authorizing it.

You will perform security checks at gateways and terminals, scan luggage, assist passengers, and secure hangars, and aircraft at runways; and will be reporting to security officers. You will also be in charge of security guards. Some personnel also start as despatch riders and drivers.
