- Quality Management System (QMS):Lead implementation and auditing of QMS standards (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Must be a certified Lead Auditor with hands-on experience in internal and external audits.- Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis:Apply structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, why-why analysis) to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.- Shop Floor Experience:Strong exposure to machine shop assembly processes, ideally within the gear industry. Should understand gear tolerances, backlash, and inspection protocols.- Manufacturing Process Knowledge:Well-versed in machining operations (turning, milling, grinding), heat treatment processes, casting, and forging techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and process flows.- Team Leadership:Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of 67 quality inspectors/engineers. Should be capable of setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of quality.- Soft Skills & Tools:Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, analysis, and presentations. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
