Full job descriptionKey Responsibilities Machine Operation: Load and unload raw materials and workpieces onto the VMC table, execute machining programs, and run production cycles. Setup & Offsets: Mount fixtures, load tools into the automatic tool changer (ATC), and set work and tool offsets. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, 2D/3D technical schematics, and process sheets. Programming & Edits: Load, run, and make minor edits to G-code and M-code or controller programs (such as Fanuc). Quality Control: Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure dimensions stay within tolerance. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine checks (coolant levels, chip management, daily maintenance) and adjust tool offsets to compensate for tool wear or diagnose minor machine errors.
